The World Bank’s vice president for South Asia Philippe Le Houérou is arrives in Kathmandu tomorrow on a four day visit to Nepal.

It will be Le Houérou’s first official visit to Nepal since his appointment on July 1, 2013 as the Bank’s vice president for South Asia.

During his visit Le Houérou is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister and the finance minister, apart from senior government officials including the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, the vice chairman of the National Planning Commission, the chief secretary and finance secretary.

During his stay Le Houérou will visit projects supported by the World Bank and hold discussions with project beneficiaries. He will also meet with development partners and representatives of civil society, academia and the private sector.

Le Houérou will conclude his visit to Nepal on March 28.
