The stock market has witnessed a historic over half billion rupees turnover today.
Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has seen a turnover of Rs 559.81 million in a day’s trading. In an intraday trading the market also witnessed over 1.6 million units of share of 108 listed companies. The market gained 19.33 points to close the forst day of the week at 733.25 points as all the sub-groups except hotels sub group that lost 8.74 points due to Soaltee Hotels, which has lost Rs 6 per unit share.
Likewise, the market capitalisation has also touched Rs 744,141.31 millions. Kist Bank posted the largest turnover, whereas Sewa Bikas bank is the top loser and the shareholders of Prudential Insurance gained the highest during today’s trading.
