Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is no longer going to serve alcohol on its flights from tomorrow as part of its austerity measures.
However, NAC spokesperson Ram Hari Sharma claimed that the national flag carrier decided not to serve alcoholic beverages on board to help passengers stay healthy.
“Although, it is not going to contribute largely in reducing costs, the move is expected to change the tradition of offering alcoholic drinks on flights, he said, adding that the national flag carrier had a year ago stopped liquor on the Doha and Kuala Lumpur night flights.
“Now, it is banned on every flight,” he said.
