Malaysian former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad is visiting Nepal to take part in Nepal Business Conclave.
According to the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) president Suraj Vaidya Mahathir is coming to Nepal for a two-day visit on March 23 and also address the Conclave.
Extending an invitation to the Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, here today, Vaidy said that the conclave will help identify some key projects for the foreign investment.
The two-day conclave organised jointly by the FNCCI and the government is the second in the series after the Economic Summit last month.
Mahathir will address the conclave as a keynote speaker, he said.
Likewise, Nepali embassy in Malaysia also confirmed that former PM Dr Mahathir is heading for Nepal on March 23.
Malaysia took a giant leap in the economic development and infrastructures during the Mahathir’s 22-year-long premiership. He resigned after being in the helm of the government for 22 consecutive years.
Mahathir resigned from the post of prime minister on October 31, 2003.
During his trip to Malaysia Vaidya had extended invitation to Mahathir to visit Nepal.
