The cabinet today approved a team led by energy secretary Rajendra Kishor Chhetri to hold talks with India on Power Trade Agreement (PTA).

The meeting of the Council of Ministers – at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today approved the team that will also hold dialogue with political parties and forge consensus for the PTA dialogue with India, said information and communications minister and spokesperson of the cabinet Dr Minendra Rijal.

The team will hold dialogue with political parties on Nepal’s draft PTA and India’s recently received comments on it, before finalising it, he said, adding that the team will leave for New Delhi on Wednesday.
