Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat is leaving for Kazakhstan to take part in the 47th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) scheduled on May 2-5 Kazak capital Astana.

The annual meeting is expected to decide on increament of financial resource of Asian Development Fund (ADF) to support the strategic long-term development goals set by under-developed countries of the region as well as asses the results achieved by ADF.
Mahat is going to give presentation on the output of ADB’s assistance, apart from meeting high-level ADB officials.

Likewise, finance ministers of South Asian countries – under South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) – are also holding separate meetings on the sideline of the main event. ADB is helping SAARC integrate in trade and economic front.
