The Chinese government has agreed to fund economic and technical cooperation projects worth Rs 1.92 billion ($19.2 million).
Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai and finance secretary Shanta Raj Subedi signed the agreement here today at the ministry on behalf of their respective government.
“Chinese government has been providing assistance on regular basis since the establishment of diplomatic relationship between two countries, said the Chinese envoy after signing the agreement.
China has been one of Nepal’s largest development partners and has been providing financial and technical support.
According to the government record, the Chinese government has committed $37.2 million worth loan and $29.4 million aid to Nepal during the first six months of the current fiscal year.
