Wendt’s role is a new position within its group executive management, it said.
Among other things, Wendt will be responsible for strategy, business development, mergers and acquisitions across the group. Wendt is currently head of corporate strategy and participation management at Swisscom and will join TeliaSonera at the end of August at the latest. She has also previously worked at Motorola.
The company said that Eliasson is leaving her position as head of group human resources for a new assignment and it is looking for a new personnel chief to replace her.
In addition, Stenmark has been appointed as head of the chief executive Office. Among other things, the chief executive office is responsible for TeliaSonera’s shareholdings in MegaFon and Turkcell. Stenmark has been with the company for many years, including as acting general counsel during the autumn of 2013. In her new role she will report to the chief executive, but will not be part of the group executive management.
