Surya Nepal Asha Social Entrepreneurship Awards (SNASEA) is organising its annual Bazaar-Minar on March 1 to highlight and appreciate the work being done by social entrepreneurs.
The one-day ‘Bazaar-Minar’ includes two important components of the Awards; the Social Entrepreneurship Bazaar and Seminar.
The Bazaar will feature shortlisted SNASEA semifinalists comprising of ventures related to energy, health, handicraft, agriculture and more, from across Nepal, whereas the event will be a platform for ‘Transaction and Transformation’ – a marketplace for these social entrepreneurs to promote not only their products and services but also their work and to exchange ideas and knowledge from visiting experts, investors and build their network.
The Seminar will cover different sessions over the day catering to the needs of aspiring and existing social entrepreneurs. The workshops will focus on social entrepreneurship in the Nepali context and the tools to overcome challenges when starting a social enterprise.
Likewise, sessions will also feature a tête-à-tête with our past Award Winner Ram Sapkota – founder of Mountain Delights Treks & Expeditions & Tukee Nepal Society – giving the audience an opportunity to not just listen to experts of social entrepreneurship but then hear it from a social entrepreneur himself.
The final SNASEA awards ceremony will be held on March 28, when five winners will be announced. The award ceremony is all about celebrating the extraordinary achievements of ordinary people working to create social, environmental and economic value.
