Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store opened its ninth outlet – the biggest so far – at Kalanki in Kathmandu from today.
“Part of our expansion is to make shopping an overall enjoyable experience giving our customers an option to choose the Bhatbhateni store located in an area that is convenient for them,” said president and managing director of Bhatbhateni Supermarket and Departmental Store Min Bahadur Gurung.
The store offers a variety of both imported and domestic products under one roof. It offers 50 per cent grocery items, 25 per cent footwear and readymade clothes, and 25 per cent electronic appliances and kitchenware, he said, adding that the new building has a single floor and covers an area of 50,000-sq-feet, whereas the parking lot is spread over 80,000-sq-foot and can accommodate 300 four-wheelers and up to 400 two-wheelers. “The store has 800 lockers, where customers can stow away belongings while shopping, along with 400 trolleys and 1,000 baskets for added convenience.”
The superstore that has recently opened the seventh and eighth stores at Anamnagar and Balaju, respectively, has opened the biggest one in Kalanki in terms of area.
With the Kalanki store, the number of Bhatbhateni super store reached eight in Kathmandu and one in Pokhara.
The store has also offered 10 per cent discount on every purchase on the occasion of festive season of Dashain and Tihar.
