The gold price dropped in the domestic market today by Rs 2,300 to Rs 51,700 per tola (11.664 graam) in last three weeks.
The precious yellow metal price is fixed in the domestic market on the basis of international market price, though it also depends on greenback in Nepali market unlike in the international market, where the relation between the gold and the US dollar is opposite.
The international market witnessed three-year low of $1,197 per ounce pulling the domestic market price too.
The gold price in the domestic market had touched an all-time high of Rs 63,300.
