Bhat-Bhateni Super Store today opened its eighth branch at Balaju in Kathmandu.
A week ago, Bhat-Bhateni Super Store had opened its seventh branch at Anamnagar in Kathmandu.
The Balaju outlet of Bhat-Bhateni, like other outlets, will cater to the general consumers, said chairman of the Bhat-Bhateni Min Bahadur Gurung.
The largest chain retailer, and also dubbed as Nepali WalMart, is expanding across the country as it has seven outlets in the Kathmandu Valley and one in Pokhara. Bhat-Bhateni is opening another outlet in Kalanki in a fortnight on September 6.
Gurung had established Bhat-Bhateni Cold Store in the early 1980s at Bhat-Bhateni. The cold store – caught fire – and Gurung started his second inning with upgraded super store called Bhat-Bhateni Super Market after a decade later.
