China asks Nepal to move forward to economic prosperity
China has urged UCPN-Maoist to focus on economic prosperity by completing the constitution writing process as soon as possible.
A visiting Shaanix Province secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Zmnao Zxemgyong today – during the meeting – urged chairman of UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal to guide the country towards economic prosperity by completing the constitution writing process immediately. The Chinese side also urged Dahal to play leading role in constitution writing process.
Chairman Dahal – on the occasion – said that initiatives were underway to promulgate the new constitution by forging a consensus among the major political parties. He also expressed belief that they will be able to forge consensus within few days.
The UCPN-Maoist chairman also said that they have been taking initiatives to push the constitution writing process further in a productive manner that could address the demands of all classes.
According to standing committee member of the UCPN-Maoist Agni Prasad Sapkota,
Dahal said that problem has surfaced after the ruling parties were not ready to take the constitution writing process ahead on the basis of previous agreements between the parties.
